Scott Brast is senior vice president of investments and capital markets for SparrowHawk. In this role Scott is a relationship builder and strategic leader, leveraging his years of experience in commercial real estate to expand the depth of connections SparrowHawk has with owners, investors and potential sellers of industrial assets. He is tasked with driving execution across all aspects of the SparrowHawk portfolios.
Scott’s role at SparrowHawk is a natural fit, given the breadth of his industry experience and history with the firm.
Before joining SparrowHawk, Scott had a 30+ year career with a mid-sized life insurance company. Most recently he was Chief ML & RE Investment Officer leading both the debt and j.v. equity platforms where he managed relationships and sourced new partnerships with national and regional investors. In that role, Scott worked with SparrowHawk, since its inception, on a number of highly successful joint venture investments.
Additional career highlights include:
• Grew platform investments to $10 billion AUM.
• Implemented innovative debt and equity structures.
• Led lending efforts to annual production of $1.5 billion.
Scott earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University.V
